A secret file, no one knows
it has saved me more than once
I quite last week (almost)
Not because I was tired, or didn’t care.
Not because the work was too hard.
But because it felt like nothing I was doing mattered.
I was doomscrolling my laptop.
Tabs open, projects half-finished, ideas bouncing around in my head.
Everything felt heavy, like I was running in the same place.
Then I reminded myself of a file I check whenever I need a push.
A file no one else has ever seen.
I opened it.
In that moment, everything changed.
I call it,
Grind.
How it actually works?
Grind isn’t just a list of compliments.
It’s proof.
Proof that what you’re doing matters, even when it feels like nothing is happening.
Inside I keep;
Messages from people saying, “I wish I started at your age.”
Mentors saying, “You’re sure going to become a millionaire.”
Moments of encouragement from readers or anyone who’s noticed my work.

There’s plenty more people say to me as well, but I wanted to share a few genuine ones that actually stick with me.
When I read these, it reminds me: progress is happening.
Even small steps matter.
Even when the day feels heavy, I’m already moving closer to something bigger.
How can you build your own grind
One of the best things I could tell you right now is;
Make your own grind.
Choose your home – a Google Doc, Notes app, or even a small notebook. Make it easy to access whenever you need it.
Collect the real stuff – compliments, screenshots, messages, or moments that made you proud. Only genuine things that actually matter.
Check it strategically – don’t open it every day; it’ll loose its power. Open on days you feel like you’re stuck.
Keep adding – even the smallest wins count. Every note builds a bigger picture of progress.
It becomes your personal power file — a reminder that every effort, no matter how small, is moving you closer to something bigger.
What I’ve learnt from this…
Here’s what Grind has taught me:
Motivation is temporary; proof lasts.
Small wins compound over time, even if you don’t notice them.
Even on days when everything feels stuck, you’re still moving forward.
Grind isn’t magic.
It’s just reality written down — the proof that effort matters, and that you’re capable of more than your doubts let you believe.
Start Your Own Today
Think about this:
“what’s the single best compliment or piece of encouragement you’ve ever received?”
Write it down. That could be the first entry in your own Grind.
Because one day, when quitting feels easier than trying…
you’ll have history on your side.
The strongest fuel doesn’t come from hype. It comes from history.
Thanks for sticking with me till the end.
If this resonated, don’t just keep it in your head — start building your own Grind. Every compliment, every encouraging message, every small win you save is another piece of proof that you’re moving forward, even on the toughest days.
Keep adding, keep checking it when you need a push, and watch how those little reminders of progress stack up over time. I’ll be doing the same, right alongside you — one step, one note, one victory at a time.
