Quote of the week
“Discipline is doing what needs to be done, even when no one is watching, and you don't feel like it.”
What happened this week?
I’m not going to sugarcoat it.
THIS WEEKS FAILS:
Didn’t practice guitar at all
Wasted my Saturday
Barely worked on my app — energy low, ideas unclear
Got banned from Quora for promoting the newsletter
Started doubting the journey — “Will this even go anywhere?”
But here’s the catch; I still made progress
THIS WEEKS WIN’S
Learned some coding basics
Finished 2 major assignments
Completed 2 subjects for my exam revision
Knocked out 2 units of French in Duolingo
Hit 20 subscribers on the newsletter!
Talked to my parents about opening an account for compound interest
Finished drafting 14 chapters of my book
Finished the entire Heroes of Olympus series by Rick Riordan
THIS WEEKS LESSON:
“Doubt screams. Discipline whispers.”
This week wasn’t perfect. I felt like quitting.
But I didn’t.
Because success isn’t about flawless effort —
It’s about refusing to disappear when it gets boring, hard, or messy.
That’s how you win:
Quietly.
Consistently.
Ruthlessly.
MINI SYSTEM THAT HELPED;
I picked one time of day (let’s say 8:00–8:30 AM) and made it non-negotiable:
Whatever else I do, I have to use this block for my growth. No distractions.
That’s when I:
Wrote
Planned my day
Tracked my progress
It gave the day structure — even if the rest of it was chaos.
“If you protect one block, the rest can be messy.”
NEXT WEEK?
Show up to guitar 3x
No skipping. Even 10 minutes counts. The streak matters more than the length.
Map out the app structure
Don’t code yet — just outline the idea clearly. 3 pages: Problem → User Flow → Features.
Finish 2 exam subjects
Break it down: 1 subject = 3 sessions. Stick to the plan.
Hit 25 subs
Talk about the newsletter in 2 new places. Add 5 more legends to the squad.
Start a YouTube channel Upload 2 videos.
This week reminded me:
you don’t need to be perfect.
You just need to be in the game.
jI’m still in.
Yours,
Kanishkha
